The international trade show Metalloobrabotka 2012 for material processing technology, machines and tools is opening its doors again from 29 May to 1 June 2012. This year, too, the Augsburg-based technological leader KUKA Systems will be present in Moscow, showcasing its solutions for diverse industrial welding and joining applications in Hall 2.2, Booth C09.

KUKA Systems is exhibiting once again at the international trade fair Metalloobrabotka 2012 and demonstrating how rail vehicle manufacturers, for example, put their trust in the technological competence of KUKA Systems. The automation specialist“s highly flexible and reliable manufacturing systems are a guarantee of impeccable quality and are already employed in the Russian automotive industry and in steel welding applications for freight cars. In rail vehicle construction, submerged-arc welding technology is implemented to achieve a high welding speed by means of high deposition efficiency, making this technique suitable for long seams and thicker plates.

The Magnetarc and friction welding processes are further elements in the KUKA Systems spectrum of products and technologies. The company has been the global market leader in this sector for decades. These customized machines are used to produce a variety of parts such as valve lifters, hydraulic components, complete vehicle axles or even special components used in the manufacture of batteries. The machines can be ordered in different size categories up to fully automated production lines. At this year“s Metalloobrabotka, KUKA Systems is presenting a number of selected exhibits from this sector.

The system builder is additionally demonstrating that arc welding cells can be used not only for conventional steel/steel joints, but also for demanding welding tasks, such as aluminum joints, galvanized panels and applications featuring joints with gaps. No matter what is being welded, all applications have one thing in common: uncompromising process quality. To achieve this, KUKA Systems has developed a range of equipment including the KFP arc function package, designed specially for robotic arc welding, with a 4-wheel wire feeder mounted directly on the robot wrist.

KUKA Systems covers the entire spectrum of manufacturing automation – from individual cells to turnkey systems. The system integrator stands out for its planning, engineering, project management, installation and commissioning of complete manufacturing systems. Its wealth of experience enables the company to supply reliable solutions in a wide range of technologies, providing 100% process quality. For developing and building manufacturing facilities, KUKA Systems draws on its decades of experience in automating production lines for the world“s leading automotive manufacturers.
