High Wycombe, United Kingdom, September 1, 2021 International POS printer manufacturer Star Micronics has announced that it will partner with fiskaly, which offers a fully certified cloud TSE in accordance with KassenSichV. The cooperation enables significant cost savings for POS system providers when purchasing a range of Star printer models and integrating the fiskaly Cloud TSE into the respective POS system.
The KassenSichV has been in force since January 1, 2020. Since then, all cash register, accounting, merchandise management and ERP systems must have an integrated TSE interface (technical safety device). The fiskaly Cloud-TSE is certified until 2029 (the maximum certificate term) and has already been integrated by many leading POS system providers, e.g. cloud and tablet-based POS systems for retail and hospitality.
As the retail and hospitality industry increasingly relies on tablet and cloud-based POS systems, a cloud TSE offers the flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and additional benefits that these industries require. At the same time, Star has developed a number of innovative cloud solutions for printing receipts. They offer the flexibility required to integrate traditional and state-of-the-art tablet and cloud-based POS and hospitality registers in a rapidly changing market. Many of Star’s innovative products are designed to be upgradeable and adaptable to changing customer requirements. This means that the solutions are future-proof.
With the flexible, cost-saving cloud TSE from fiskaly, companies can continue to use mobile devices such as iPads and smartphones as cash registers. It is ideal for larger retail and restaurant chains as well as for smaller businesses. Companies also benefit from flexible monthly or annual payment options.
With a cloud solution, necessary updates can be carried out automatically and inexpensively. If the legal requirements change, the POS software provider can easily adapt the functions of the POS system so that the entrepreneur incurs little or no additional costs. With the fiskaly cloud solution, users also have access to data via the fiskaly dashboard, which can be managed with just a few clicks and quickly and easily exported for testing purposes.
Since the TSE certification has to be renewed after a certain period of time, usually after three, five or seven years, it may be necessary to replace the hardware afterwards. In the case of a cloud-based solution, the changes can simply be carried out by the software provider, and if the user wants to modernize the cash register system, this can be done without any problems without affecting the functionality of the fiskaly Cloud TSE.
Johannes Ferner, CEO, fiskaly, commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Star, who, as an innovative hardware manufacturer, has supported fiskaly’s cloud-based approach from the start. With this joint offer, POS system manufacturers benefit from the best of both worlds: a future-oriented cloud-based fiscalization option and printers connected to the cloud. In this way a really future-proof solution can be provided. „
