Star Micronics präsentiert neuen POS-Drucker TSP100IV

The latest model in Star’s TSP100 series is designed for PC-based POS systems in retail and hospitality, as well as tablet and cloud POS applications. It offers numerous interfaces and integrated CloudPRNT™ technology for printing directly from online ordering platforms and websites. The printer also supports Android Open Accessory (AOA), which enables direct communication and charging of compatible Android devices.

The TSP100IV offers a plug and play solution with an internal power supply and can act as an instant plug-in replacement printer for other TSP100 models. Unlike previous TSP100 models, which only had a single interface, the new TSP143IV UE offers multiple connectivity options in one model: Ethernet and USB-C port for Windows, Linux and MacOS devices, and USB-A port for USB-C and Micro-USB based Android tablets and mobile devices to enable a direct cable connection for data transfer and charging. 

Android Open Accessory (AOA) support allows print data to be sent directly to supported Android tablets and mobile devices or connected peripherals, and charging them when the printer is used as a hub. The TSP100IV can also be connected via WiFi using Star’s compact MCW10 WiFi module for even greater flexibility. 

Star’s unique CloudPRNT technology, built into the TSP100IV, enables direct printing from online ordering platforms and websites to Star networked printers anywhere in the world. This is ideal for printing click-and-collect retail orders or food orders right in the restaurant kitchen without the need for a local tablet or POS system. 

CloudPRNT is already being used by retail and hospitality businesses worldwide as part of online ordering platforms or e-commerce solutions. In addition, Star recently launched StarPrinter.online, a fully managed printer inventory management service for retail and hospitality businesses. This minimizes the time and costs required for setup and integration. Customers can send receipts or orders directly to the printer as an HTML file or even as an email if required. 

The printer offers a print speed of 250 mm/s and supports 85 µm to 49 µm thin paper (ie inexpensive paper rolls). Its compact, angular design offers a space-saving solution with a reduced height and depth compared to previous TSP100 models. B. The TSP100IV is easy to set up with Star Windows software and the intuitive Star Quick Setup Utility for iOS and Android. In addition, the new StarXpand™ SDK enables easy cross-platform integration for environments such as React Native. SMCS (Star Micronics Cloud Services) is also included and supports remote device management.
