The Salamander Industrie-Produkte GmbH (www.sip-windows.com), one of the leading European system providers and manufacturers of high-quality energy-efficient window systems made of PVC, presented its new bluEvolution 82 system at this year’s fensterbau/frontale in Nuremberg.
As part of its trade fair presence at the fensterbau/frontale, Salamander presented its new bluEvolution 82 system. Salamander has been working full out on the development of the series to provide SIP partner businesses with an optimal solution to meet current and future market requirements.
The innovative 6-chamber design, with a construction depth of 82 mm and sophisticated sealing technology, ensures optimum insulation and the best energy-efficiency. A special highlight of the system is the option of combining two sealing systems. A sealing system with two stopper gaskets (AD) is available as standard. A centre seal (MD) in the frame is available as an option. The centre seal improves the thermal and sound insulating performance of the window many times over and ensures reliable protection against wind and driving rain.
SIP partners can convert to bluEvolution 82 with relatively low cost and effort. The innovative profile system was designed to be especially economical and easy to process for SIP partners – the same steel reinforcement can be used for the frame, casement, mullions and overlaps.
The symmetrical snap-in mounting feet are compatible with the Brügmann AD system, so that all profile accessories from the Brügmann AD system can also be used. The straight casement/frame projection permits the application of adhesive tape.
This new system generation offers optimum insulating properties and the option of using glazing up to 52 mm. When using an adhesive tape, glazing thickness of up to 54 mm are possible. With expected Uf values of 1.1 W/m²K in the AD variant and 1.0 W/m²K when using the centre seal, the window system meets the requirements of EnEV 2012 by far, since Uw-values of up to 0.74 W/m²K are possible.
Security hardware is bolted with the steel reinforcement, which already meets the requirements for burglary resistance to WK2 in the standard version.
Last, but not least, the bluEvolution 82 impresses through 100% recyclability of all system components, since only PVC that can be completely separated for recycling are used in manufacturing.
The bluEvolution 82 series will be continually expanded during the course of the current year. The complete system will be available in spring 2013.
