SA mining equipment company makes three acquisitions

South African mining equipment company Boart Longyear has concluded
three acquisitions so far this year, all aimed at strengthening its
position as a manufacturer and supplier of products and services to
the global mining indused mobile crusher for purchase in indiaustry, says group MD Paul Brunner.

First came the acquisition of Bradley Manufacturicrusher machine manufacture spainng’s diamond
core drilling head office and pro-duction facilities in Quebec,
Canada, and its subsidiaries in Saprinciple of jaw crusherlt Lake City, US, and Adelaide,
Australia.

Now Brunner has also announced the acquisition of two independent,
US-based drilling equipment sup-pliers, namely Drilling Equipment
Supply International and Trimel, which operate from sites in
Phoenix, Arizona, Rocklin, California, and St Charles, Missouri,
all in the US.

“We have committed ourselves to expansion through acquisition
in order to meet our ambitious growth targets.

“These acquisitions will help us to build further capacity in
territories that are already covered by Boart Longyear’s
global drilling footprint and, vitally, also demonstrate our
commitment to driving up customer support and service levels in the
minerals exploration arena,” Brunner explains.

Boart Longyear is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of
products, systems and services to the natural resource industry,
the construction and quarrying industries and industrial markets
worldwide.

Seventy per cent of the com-pany’s business is focused on
mining-related activities, with the remainder on industrial
businesses that use its hardmetal and diamond technologies.
