Dr. Pantelis Christian Poetis, CEO of POWERGROUP and Pervaiz Afzal Khan, Chairman of Asia Capital Partners, signed an extensive exclusivity contract between both companies regarding the areas of Trading, Energy, Logistics and Security.

April 18, 2013 – Munich – The cooperation with Asia Capita Partners s the starting point for POWERGROUP“s further expansion to the Middle and Far East with manpower already reaching nearly up to 6.000 staff. POWERGROUP“s main stimulus for this project is to cater to the accelerating development towards Asia among their clients; to be able to not only analyse strategies and areas of investment in Asian countries but to help implementing ideas and strategies.

Therefore, Poetis adjusted the idea of Design Thinking, which was developed at the University of Stanford, to business related issues. The evolved concept „Business Design Thinking“ is the most important tool of POWERGROUP, which enables the POWERGROUP“s team to design a business model out of creative ideas. This again will be finalised in detail with an overall concept and implemented. Thus, local implementation has become another main focus of the POWERGROUP. „POWERGROUP“s creativity and its strategic approach, as well as their close bonds to decision makers worldwide, will be highly benefiting for us,“ said Khan after the contract signing. POWERGROUP will not only plan market entry strategies, but also carry out the implementation of
projects. First interests regarding projects were expressed for the countries of Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, China, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Turkey.

Thereby, POWERGROUP now is active in more than 50 countries worldwide and the Pullach based team is becoming more and more international. For these new challenges in Asia, POWERGROUP was able to win Tianxiang Lu, who did not only study in Liaoning, China, but also at the Technical University in Munich and gained significant work experiences in Shanghai as well as in Hamburg and Munich.

Prof. Dr. Robert Schmucker, from the Technical University Munich and member of POWERGROUP“s advisory board is supporting this new progress. „It is constantly becoming more important for POWERGROUP“s international clients to be supported in their project implementations worldwide – fast, unbureaucratic and consistent; in the end, the reliable delivery of results has to be guaranteed. As POWERGROUP is now able to do so, we not only support this step strategically, but also financially. Apart from that, POWERGROUP“s projects are so fascinating that I am more than happy to bring my experience and knowledge to the table.“ Professor Schmucker is providing POWERGROUP with essential strategic input regarding topics such as security scenarios and airfare logistics.

When asked if the POWERGROUP will stay in the South of Germany, taking into account these international developments, Poetis answers: „What ever may come, my core team of specialists and myself will always stay in Munich. As we have an excellent connection to the world through the international airport in Munich, the extensive future travelling will be easily manageable.“
