Lion unleash secret weapon today at 1300

image0011 Lion unleash secret weapon today at 1300When the Lions last toured Australia in 2001 their huge support outnumbered and out-sung the peeved locals in the first test. The Wallabies famously reacted by giving away tickets for the second test to boost their support. It was alleged the Aussies even resorted to amplifying the home support to level the playing field. To give the Lions supporters the edge again in 2013, the travelling hordes will be armed with a secret weapon, the first ever unofficial Lions anthem together with a video that charts the antics of four larger than http://bit.ly/vo1000m life Lions supporters.

Rugby Inspired clothing brand Ruckstar founder Neil Boote and fellow veteran Rugby player Chris Matthews came up with the idea only 4 weeks ago and since then have worked night and day to produce the track and the video.

The song, The Voice of a Thousand Men by a specially formed band, Ruck Stars, is a new version of Tenpole Tudor’s early 80’s hit, Swords of a thousand men, with Lions inspired lyrics of course! The song & promotional video will be released at 1pm Friday 24th May GMT. The video will be viewable at http://bit.ly/vo1000m

Boote explained, „The song is a plea to the lucky travelling fans to make the voices of all of those back home heard, as well as being a fantastic song to sing at the games“

Matthews added, „If we can get the Rugby community behind us, we have a real chance of getting Rugby to number 1 in the charts with this sing along anthem“
