Whether round or angular, vertical or horizontal – the surface is of no consequence
Neumarkt/Oberpfalz – The German manufacturer Jurawatt presents its latest development at the PVSEC trade fair in Hamburg at the stall being operated by J.v.G. Thoma. The solar modules of the JW-Flex series are flexible in any direction, ultra-light and available in all sizes.
The internationally significant photovoltaic trade fair PVSEC is going to be held in Hamburg from 5th to 9th September 2011. Scientists and delegates from industries and trade are meeting in the exhibition halls and at technical lectures to know more about the state-of-the-art status concerning the solar energy. The Bavarian enterprise Jurawatt takes this forum as an opportunity for market presentation of JW-Flex. The flexible solar cells generate a high yield especially at inclined sun“s radiation. This is due to the spherical arrangement of silicon. An excellent thermal coefficient ensures that the modules have almost no loss of efficiency even when heated.
New areas of deployment are possible
Since the flexible, frameless solar modules do not require any sub-structure during assembly, users can explore new locations for power generation. For the technician, the installation becomes uncomplicated. He suspends the modules from shanks or screw fits them on the corresponding surface. A polymer foil closes in the silicon cells on the front and on the rear side and makes them movable. With just 3 kg per square meters the products in the JW-Flex series are absolutely lightweights. Jurawatt manufactures them in sizes A3, A4 and A1.
Research, development and production under a single roof
The company puts high demands on the quality of its products; therefore, Jurawatt maintains its own research department and develops its products self-reliantly at its facility in Neumarkt where also the production is located. It also includes an independent test centre; here all modules are first tested thoroughly before they are sent into the market.
