ISO 26262 – Challenging functional safety systems

Berlin, 31/01/2012 – The implementation of the functional safety standard ISO 26262 will become mandatory this year. Required for a successful implementation are efficient processes, approved results and clear roles and responsibilities. Learn at IQPC’s international conference Experiences with ISO 26262, 28 – 30 March 2012 in Munich, how to best adapt to the ISO norm and ensure product quality and product safety. Meet many OEM’s and gain insights from their first-hand experience.

The main topics of the conference are in following:

  • Impact of the ISO norm along the development chain, e.g. on OEM/supplier interfaces
  • Challenges in quality assurance and analysis techniques, e.g. in the AUTOSAR context or using fault tree analyses
  • Roles and responsibilities for product liabilities, concerning for example airbags
  • Functional safety of E/E products and safety audits or assessments

On Friday, March 30, conference participants can choose from four workshops to discuss topics such as Process Experience with ISO 26262, Challenges of ISO 26262 applications, EAST-ADL or Truck OEM. The workshops are led by representatives from e.g. BMW and Volvo.

More than half of the conference speakers are OEMs, e.g. BMW, Daimler, Fiat, Jaguar and Volvo. Hear for example how traceability for the implementation of international standards is created or which different analysis techniques for verifications and validations work for you.
