January 18, 2014 – IMPAQ International wants to improve the lives of millions around the globe and in 2014 will do so with the help of an engaging new website developed by award winning web design firm, The Canton Group. The new site utilizes a bold and progressive design aimed at helping IMPAQ engage and initiate collaboration with governments, the private sector and the public as they work to tackle important issues and develop policies promoting change in areas such as health, education and international development.
Since IMPAQ looks to engage with many different constituents and offers a variety of different services to them, it was important that the new website take into consideration the unique preferences of users. The new site easily connects users with the relevant services offered by IMPAQ. To ensure the best possible user experience, The Canton Group worked closely with IMPAQ to understand and define these different user „personas.“ The Canton Group then leveraged the strong „taxonomies“ available through the open-source Drupal Content Management System, which enhanced the user experience by allowing the different users the ability to engage with content without having to click on a completely new sub-page or link.
Additionally IMPAQ is now able to engage constituents across different devices as the new site is optimized for mobile and tablet viewing as well as desktop. The implementation of a „responsive web design“ allows the IMPAQ site to calibrate to the type of device on which it is being accessed and ensure the same consistent user experience across all platforms.
The Canton Group was successful in capturing the overall message that IMPAQ International was trying to convey in its web presence which was that of a company that was highly successful at helping people. With this new image to match the great work that they do, the future looks very bright for IMPAQ International.
