Handlers designed for increased safety

Construction and earthmoving equipment company CSE Equipment has been appointed the exclusive sup- plier for construction equipment manufacturer Case’s TX 140 telescopic handlers designed for efficient performance, optimum safety and reduced down time.

CSE Equipment construction divisional director Rod Watson says: “There are dif- ferent units in this series to suit every task on a mining site. These machines are often used instead of conventional cranes and they can be equipped with a personnel cage for rigging and are efficient machines for general high-lifting applications on the mines. Case TX 140 telescopic handlers, with high working heights, easy manoeuvrability, total stability and precision control, enable the operator to work safely and efficiently in the toughest conditions.”

Thstone crusher equipment price tajikistane Case TX 140 range has a robust telescopic-boom construction that enables safe lifting. An internally mounted hydraulic twin cylinder extends the boom, offering a 14-m working height.

These handlers, with lift capacities of up to 4,5 t, ensure stability through the combination of a long wheel base, low boom pivot and optimised counterweight. Handlers with a maximum 3-t capacity can lift loads without the need for stabilisers, but heavy-duty machines are available with narrow stabilmetal crusher quarry in palakkadiser legs that open within the machine width.

The 4,5-t handlers require widespread stabiliser legs for total stability.

The Case TX 140 telescopic handlers are powered by Tier III low-emissions case engines, with low fuel consumption and a high torque (516 Nm) capacity to ensure efficient performance even in the toughest site conditions. The company reports that another advantage of this environment-friendly engine technology is the overall reduction in emissions. These engines are mounted longitsmall sand crushing machineudinally on the side of the machine for a maximum transfer of power and for ground-level maintenance.

The four-speed powershift transmission and a three-mode steering system ensure high-power manoeuvrability, without the negative effects of heat build-up. Operators are able to drive at speed, when permitted, and can also turn the handler in tight circles. A single servo lever, with a transmis- sion cut-out button, controls all hydraulic functions, giving the operator absolute control of the machine without having to moore crushers with 700tph capacityve his or her hand away from the servo or steering wheel. This feature increases safety on site and also reduces operator fatigue.

For increased safety, this range has hydraulic frame levelling to ensure the secure placing of loads at any height or reach. Audible and visual load indicators prevent overload conditions and reduced-height mast pivot points ensure that the operator has good visibility, even to the rear of the handler. These machines are also equipped with safety valves on the lift and tilt, and stabrussia impact crusher supplieri- liser cylinders to stop the boom from dropping in the case of hose failure.

The handlers are fitted with a safety device that prevents any hazardous exten- sion of the mast, making this equipment suitable for the use of worker platforms. Case personnel baskets, which are fixed, moveable or remotely radio-controlled, are available for tasks that require carrying people.

The ergonomically designed telehandler cab, planned for increased safety on site, has a curved top with wraparound glazing that offers clear visibility of the boom and the load. All instruments are situated in a low-level console for an unobstructed view of the front of the machine. The cab door and right-hand window can be opened independently, locking back against the cab structure for security.

This series has been designed for effortless maintenance. All filters and fill points are easily accessible and the main hydraulic valve, which is mounted at the rear of the machine, can be reached through a separate panel, without having to move other components.

CSE Equipment offers a wide range of case options, tyres and attachments to perfectly suit each specific application. These attachments include pallet forks, buckets, crane booms, road sweepers, cement mixers and personnel platforms.

The Case construction equipment, which also includes loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators and skid steers, is supported by CSE Equipment’s national technical advi- sory and maintenance service.
