International Marketing Firm Plethora Media Group Gains former NFL Punter as Director of Corporate Development
Plethora Media Group, Inc. announced the expansion of their team today adding once National Football League (NFL) player Evan Arapostathis to their team. The former NFL punter-turned-executive, joined the company as their Director of Corporate Development. „Evan brings us a wide spectrum of experience which correlates nicely with the wide spectrum of clients that we service. Evan has been no stranger to the Plethora team and so we are glad to officially launch this relationship and we are looking forward to leveraging his experience and contacts here in 2014,“ said Plethora CEO Darius Aram.
Arapostathis was born and raised in San Diego before gaining a scholarship to play football at Eastern Illinois University. It was here that he was able to further not only his education but his football career as well. After college, Arapostathis returned to San Diego as a kicker for the American Football League’s (AFL) San Diego Riptide where he also started his path to coaching. Evan continued on to have a 28-year career playing for NFL teams including the Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, and St. Louis Cardinals, among others.
Following the NFL, Evan went on to earn a Masters degree in Human Behavior Psychology and Organizational Behavior from National University. He has served as the National Coordinator for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America’s Young Adult League and then moved on to hold positions as Director of Employee Relations and Community Outreach, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and CEO for the Animal Care & Control of New York City. Evan’s diverse experiences brought him the opportunity to briefly live and work in Greece to aid in computer and technology systems for the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens.
In 2005, Evan returned to San Diego working as the Director of Human Resources and Employee Relations for Innova Systems International where he stayed until 2013. On joining the Plethora Media team Arapostathis said, „I am very excited to be part of such a great team. I look forward to helping companies become successful.“ Although his NFL days are behind him, Arapostathis stays involved with football through his involvement in ABCD Kicking and Punting Camps and All American Kicking Camps which he formed with fellow NFLers Darren Bennett, John Carney and Brad Dalusio. He also aids in the coaching process for several NFL teams for which he used to play.
When he is not working, Arapostathis enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
