Dr. Ursula Widmer, new President of ISSS

ICT security – New Chairperson of The Information Security Society Switzerland – connecting over 1000 Security Professionals and more than 140 enterprises.

The Information Security Society Switzerland (ISSS) has elected Dr. Ursula Widmer as its new President. Dr. Widmer is a recognised expert with over 25 years of experience in the field of IT, Internet and Telecommunications Law. She is the founder of the Dr. Widmer & Partner, attorneys-at-law chambers in Bern, and lectures in Information Security Law at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) and in IT Law at the University of Bern. She replaces Dr. Thomas Dübendorfer at the head of the association.

The ISSS (www.isss.ch) is Switzerland“s leading professional association for ICT security, with its members currently numbering over 1,000 security professionals, individual and corporate members from business, administration and science with an interest in security. ISSS deals with the technical, economic, regulatory and socio-political aspects of ICT and information security. ISSS was founded as an association in 1993 under its previous name, FGSec. ISSS is a member of ICTswitzerland and official security partner of SwissICT.
