EK Water Blocks, the Slovenian producer of premium water cooling systems for computers proudly presents the new product range EK-Predator AIO that will change the current water cooler market. Former radiator manufacturer for enthusiasts has also added complete All-in-One (AIO) water cooling in the mainstream market high-end segment.
EK has taken the powerful, proven components of previous enthusiast product line and assembled into a pre-filled, compact solution. For the development of the EK-Predators no compromises have been made. PC enthusiasts and developers are therefore able to benefit from the market’s best option when it comes to compact, extensible instant water cooler.
The EK-Predator is a pre-filled and pre-assembled CPU water cooling unit. It is available in two sizes: 240 mm and 360 mm. It offers a superior cooling performance which so far remained unmatched in the AIO segment. It also EK-Vardar fan wheels were fitted with high static pressure with PWM control, to keep the noise as low as possible, which is a common problem in recent AIO models.
Since the EK-Predator has industrial G1 / 4 threaded ports and 10/16 mm low-maintenance rubber hoses (EK-ZMT), it can be expanded with any special cooling solutions on the market.
In addition, the Predator 360 integrated Quick Disconnects (QDC) will have, ie special connections, on the rapid expansion without tools of the system is possible without the unit needs to be emptied. This allows users, for example, add a prefilled GPU water cooler with quick-change system. After release of the Predator 360 EKWB will offer such tailor-made additives.
Technical main functions: Hovercore ™ is the revolutionary design of dampers cooler that prevents the pump vibration is transferred to the unit and the housing, whereby a vibration-free, noiseless operation is possible.
The Supremacy ™ MX CPU waterblock for the high-performance segment, is specifically designed for Intel CPUs and offers the best hydraulic and thermal power. The carefully prefabricated copper base is made of the purest available copper and was further polished to a high gloss. This alone, the cooling capacity of the block already improved significantly.
Coolstream ™ PE cooler – 240 mm or 360 mm, with full copper core, which compared with alternatives made of aluminum has with regard to heat dissipation benefits. Together with the EK-Vardar fan wheels, this leads to a better performance through the entire fan operation both at low and high air transit.
Vardar ™ fan wheels – two for the Predator 240 and three for the Predator 360 – are impellers with high static pressure, which were developed in-house specifically for water coolers. The rotational speed of the low-noise fan with integrated PWM technology can always be adjusted while the fan continues to operate quietly and with the best cooling performance.
The DDC pump is a powerful 6-W water cooling pump which provides a 2 to 3 times better flow rate than other AIOs in the market. This is also PWM-controlled, which allows the automatic speed control depending on CPU temperature. Choose according to need full performance or whisper-quiet operation at idle.
Integrated fan Splitter connector reduces the cable chaos and makes the unit appear aesthetically simple. The Predator-pump and fan can be connected to the unit itself, and only the PWM cable must be connected to the CPU fan connector and only one SATA Molex cable supplies the unit with power.
Dimensions of the main fan on Predator 240 with integrated pump and reservoir: 295 mm x 133 mm x 68 mm This solution fits into most modern computer case. The Predator 360 is larger and measures 415 mm x 133 mm x 68 mm. EKWB will publish a list of compatible housing prior to the introduction.
The EK-Predator 240 is available from 23 September 2015 for € 199, which EK-360 Predator follows on 19 October with a price of 239 €. Both units are available for Intel CPU sockets. The AMD versions are planned for the 2016th
