The announcement by IMS Industrial Products’ lubrication
equipment division that it was introducing LubriLean minimal
quantity lubrication systems for the machine tool industry, has
lead to the company also launching Vogel Spandau coolant
pumps.
This specialised range of pumps help cut machinery noise as they
run quietly and smoothly, using computer optimised impellors.
Perfectly matched motors from Vogel’s own production lines
save electricity and ensure greater efficiencies.
According to IMS, specialised pump-materials are a precondition for
trouble-free running performance. Spandau pumps use finely
harmonised combinations of materials based on modular systems, the
materials ranging from nickel-chromium steel to sophisticated
high-tech plastic.
As a result, Spandau pumps can handle extremely aggressive or
abrasive conditions and hot or cold fluids. The lubrication
equipment division works together with its customers to specify
special pumps for unique or particularly critical applications and
is committed to solving clients’ problems through the
provision of a product which meets their specific needs.
According to the division’s sales manager Tinus Greyling, the
Spandau pumps’ compact dimension saves space, while well
thought out designs and easy installation and dismantling ensure
fast maintenance and easy cleaning.
The Spandau range includes high pressure coolant pumps and sealless
immersion pumps with free-floating shaft. “A great advantage
is that they can also be used to pump liquids contaminated with
particles,” Greyling remarks. “Wear remains low and
there is no danger if they run dry,” he adds.
Spandau pumps are also used in laser technology, on printing
machines as well as beverage cooling systems, laboratory and
medical equipment and metal-plating installations, stone saws and
tempering equipment.
