I mean, literally, she had everybody crying during one of her scenes! She’s amazing,“ she added. ‚I think people are going to be really, really impressed when they see the movie next year.“ Meanwhile, Jovovich’s latest sci-fi action thrill ride, Monster Hunter, just hit theaters Dec. 18. The movie — based on a hit video game series of the same name — was written and directed by Jovovich’s husband, and her role was penned specifically for her.
Absolutely, I love that world. We were at odds about some things that were important. We had some great conversations. It was fun to think about, but we just couldn’t… the last ten yards were, we just couldn’t do it, we couldn’t figure it out. Aspects of it have shown up elsewhere. I would say, there are things in Haywire, in terms of its approach to the character, and it’s not a big movie, but there’s a little bit of activity in it. That’s a hint of the kind of attitude I was looking for.

Berson also failed to get much interest from various production companies. One prominent studio executive grilled him by asking “Where’s the traditional arc? What are the challenges?” Berson’s response: “It’s not a traditional biopic because he was not a traditional human being.” Another studio executive suggested that he show Hampton “learning how to speak in front of a crowd; perhaps he gets nervous and stutters for his first outing.” Berson was having none of it. “This isn’t “The King’s Speech,” he quipped.
