IVU: Swiss users discuss data quality

Second user forum at new IVU headquarters in Switzerland

Olten, 25 October 2018 – The meaning of data flows for the quality of public transport was the focus of the second IVU Traffic Technologies Switzerland user forum, held at the ARTE hotel in Olten last Tuesday. More than 60 participants from all over Switzerland also used the opportunity to gain an impression of the new IVU premises in Olten.

In presentations and various workshops, participants spent a day discussing future requirements facing Swiss transport companies and the role of data flows. While representatives of SBB, PostAuto and Busland reported on their own experiences in the morning, the participants had the opportunity to tackle specific issues in a World Café in the afternoon. Topics included timetable planning and run scheduling, customer information, ticketing or the deployment of tablets for mobile employees.

“We are delighted to have such an active user community in Switzerland. The lively discussions and conversations show that our customers like to use the opportunity of our annual user forum and exchange ideas with their colleagues,” said Marc Schaffert, Managing Director of IVU Traffic Technologies Switzerland. “This always results in exciting suggestions and ideas for us, which are incorporated in the development of our software.”

At the same time, IVU celebrated its debut at its new Swiss headquarters in Olten. “Owing to its central position between Bern, Basel, Zurich and Lucerne and its good connection to the Swiss rail network, Olten is an excellent starting point for our activities in Switzerland,” remarked Marc Schaffert. “At the same time, we are gaining more space for further growth.” All employees will work from the new location in future.
