The organizers NETWAYS and dass IT are finally releasing the conference program for this years` Open Source Backup Conference on BAREOS on the 25th and 26th of September in Cologne. The conference which focuses on data backup with open source software, takes place for the 9th time, and is known to be one of the largest international conferences on the subject.

The Open Source Backup Conference on BAREOS provides valuable knowledge and practical experience on the subject data backup with open source software such as BAREOS, AMANDA and REAR on the two-day English-speaking conference. Operators, developers and decision makers from various branches have the opportunity to get together with the manifold and active open source community, and to set off pioneering projects.
After a thorough review of all submitted papers the program is now fixed. The grand width of subjects covers, once again, all the main subjects.
Isabel Peters shares her experience with Cloud Backup at Mongo DB, where Martin Gerhard Loschwitz provides useful tips for verifying database backups with Uphold. Another highlight is the presentation about the innovations in BAREOS 17.2. by Maik Aussendorf and Philipp Storz. We’re also happy to welcome Didac Oliveira (Brain Updaters, SSL), Daniel Neuberger (NETWAYS GmbH) and Svenne Krap from Kracon ApS. After every talk, it will be possible to ask questions and to discuss the topics.
Should you choose the conference-tickets GOLD (accommodation included) or SILVER (without accommodation), an additional workshop on the 25th of September is included. The offered workshops are BAREOS Introduction, Puppet for BAREOS and Scripting BAREOS. The package BRONZE only includes the presentations on the 26th of September.
The Open Source Backup Conference is the conference on data backup with open source software, and is a well-established conference in this field.
