Los Angeles, California, January 17, 2014 – Jay Leno put EECP® (Enhanced External Counterpulsation) by Global Cardio Care centers, the leaders in EECP treatment, in the national spotlight with a joke during his monologue Jan. 10, 2014. While Sara Soulati, CEO of Global Cardio Care, showcased the blood circulation machine called EECP with a patient on the bed, Leno described the machine as „a way to improve blood circulation; it looks dirty, but it’s not.“
Global Cardio Care and EECP were the featured topics on KTLA-TV (NBC-5) in Los Angeles Jan. 9, 2014. Global Cardio Care is the gold standard in EECP, and it launched in 2002. The company manages the world’s largest physician centers delivering EECP with 22 beds.
„EECP is one of the most powerful therapies to prevent and fight cardiovascular disease,“ said Sara Soulati, CEO and founder of Global Cardio Care, Inc. „When Jay Leno featured me showcasing EECP during his monologue, we took it for what it was — a joke, a few laughs, and more national attention for EECP — exactly what we need!“
What Is EECP
EECP is a circulation therapy that treats and prevents cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, chest pain, and many other diseases and illness.
When a patient receives the therapy, they lie on a comfortable bed hooked to a heart monitor. Three blood-pressure-type cuffs wrap around calves, thighs and buttocks. When the heart is at rest, the cuffs squeeze the lower extremities in rapid sequence.
When the cuffs squeeze:
More nitric oxide is secreted within arterial walls that reduces arterial stiffness, reduces high blood pressure and improves cardiovascular disease.
New arteries grow naturally with an increase in vascular endothelial growth factor. This hormone stimulates growth of new arteries called collaterals that improve circulation and blood flow around blockages, like a natural bypass.
Organs regenerate due to EECP treatment. Regenerative therapy is the process of replacing or regenerating human cells and tissue to restore and establish normal function.
