Live streaming concerts are live music performances digitally broadcast in real-time to audiences watching and listening on computers, tablets, and mobile devices worldwide. IROCKE editors rated a total of 20,356 live streamed concerts by 8,227 artists performing from 1,072 live streaming concert platforms during 2013. There was a 43% increase live streaming concert performances, a 53% increase in artists who live stream performances, and a 36% increase in live streaming concert platforms worldwide compared to 2012 when IROCKE released first-ever industry rankings.

„Live streaming concert volume increased to all-time highs during 2013. Two trends fueling this growth include a dramatic increase in brands sponsoring free, high quality live stream broadcasts of top artists and festivals, and a surge of new live stream concert video platforms offering free and ticketed performance options to artists and venues at every level,“ said Karl Rogers, co-founder and CEO of IROCKE.

IROCKE named „Live On Letterman“ the #1 live streaming concert series of 2013. The series, which features select musical guests from CBS’s „Late Show with David Letterman“ in live webcast concerts direct from the world-famous Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, has garnered more than 200 million views to date on CBS.com and VEVO. „We are honored that IROCKE has recognized Live On Letterman as the #1 live streaming concert series in 2013,“ said Tom Lisack, Vice President, CBS Interactive and Executive Producer, Live On Letterman. „As we head into our 5th year of the series, we’re looking forward to bringing even more of today’s best and most relevant artists to music fans everywhere.“

Based on data compiled and analyzed by IROCKE an estimated 380 million viewers worldwide watched live streaming concerts in 2013, up 40% from 2012.
