Paderborn (Germany), Jakarta (Indonesia), 22 August 2013 – The financial situation of Southeast Asia’s population is clearly improving as the economic growth is developing faster compared to other regions. Due to a more disposable income among the middle class as well as increasing urbanization and industrialization, consumption is rising and therefore leading to a higher demand for reliable energy. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), primary energy demand in South East Asia will expand by 90% until 2035, at an annual growth rate of 2.3% – almost double the 1.2% average rate in the rest of the world.
